Your new role
Seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect with expertise in Java application development, modernization, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions, modernizing legacy Java applications, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and secure solutions. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translating them into technical solutions that align with our cloud strategy. It’s an independent Contributor role (IC).
What you'll need to succeed
Strong proficiency in Java, Spring web technologies and related frameworks (Spring MVC/SpringBoot, Hibernate, JDBCTemplate, JPA, Junit, SOAP/REST API etc.).
Development and deployment experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Along with hybrid-cloud and Service Mesh.
Knowledge of VM to cloud migration infra and apps.
Knowledge of data migration from o-prem to cloud.
Experience of App modernization principles like DDD, Strangler, BORIS, SNAP-E, Swift, Brainstorming beyond 12-factor principles.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Hands-on experience of migrating Java/J2EE applications to cloud (if required from monolithic to Microservices).
Extensive experience of modernization of legacy monolithic apps to microservices.
Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Service Mesh).
Familiarity with build tools like Gradle, Maven, Git etc.
Developers should have the ability to build, deploy, and manage applications in cloud environment
Designing, coding, testing, and debugging Java applications based on project requirements and specifications.
Knowledge of creating SOAP/REST API web services and integration with front-end microservices and back-end systems.
Ensuring the security of Java applications by implementing best practices and security measures.
Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design specifications and API documentation.
Good experience on Microservices architecture patterns, cloud concepts and beyond 12-factor principles.
Knowledge of Kafka messaging platform and distributed caching like Redis.
Knowledge of data structures and web technologies design patterns.
Knowledge of a few SQL/NoSQL databases like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
