The unlimited potential of this universal material, which paves the way for innovative ideas and technological progress, is further strengthened by the cooperation of science and industry. Şişecam established the first research and development center in Turkey in 1976 with the mission of pioneering the journey of innovation in glass technologies.
Focusing on science and innovation, Şişecam carries out groundbreaking work in a wide range of areas from raw materials to production processes, advanced glass compositions to industrial applications in order to produce high-quality and sustainable glass.
Our Sustainability
While we are rapidly moving towards our goals, we pay close attention to society and our environment. We formulated the Şişecam Sustainability Strategy “CareforNext” in line with UN Sustainability Development Goals. We shape all our investment, production, management, and social responsibility processes based on aour strategy's key concepts of “Protect the Planet,” “Empower Society,” and “Transform Life.”
Şişecam prioritizes its social responsibility projects in the areas of environment, sports, culture, art and education in order to contribute and add value to the community as a requisite of being a corporate citizen of the countries where the Group acts.
